The CRTC has approved Bluepoint Investment’s acquisition of the Saskatchewan Communications Network (SCN).  This gives SCN the green light to resume operations as an educational broadcaster in Saskatchewan, and to invest a minimum of $1.75 million per year on Saskatchewan programming and $1 million in Saskatchewan on digital programming and content.  In a press release, Bluepoint states that SCN will move forward “with a programming model that combines community and educational programming with commercial programming that is focused mainly in primetime.”
